DIY: Faux Agate Coasters
Faux Agate Coasters are an easy project to create! This creative design is very pretty to be placed around the house, and on coasters in a perfect opportunity! The materials for this project are very cheap and you'll have fun creating this if you are into DIY projects!
Here are the materials you will need:
-cardboard
-scissors
-masking tape
-agate prints
-spray glue (optional)
-gold spray paint
-mod podge
-newspaper
Now it's time to get started! Set up your work area and gather all of your materials needed for this project.
Step 1: Use a pencil to trace the shape of your agate print on the cardboard. Make sure to cut your cardboard over the shape you have. Cut another piece the same shape (2 pieces are needed for each coaster).
Step 2: Start taping the 2 cardboard pieces together going around and over it until they are entirely covered with tape.
Step 3: Once the cardboards are covered up, you can now begin painting them with gold spray paint.
Step 4: Spray a little glue to the back of the prints to stick them onto the painted cardboard.
Step 5: To make them waterproof, apply a thin layer of mod podge onto the surface of the agate print using your fingers. let them dry for a couple of hours.
