EASY DIY: Okra Stamps
It's definitely funny to think that an Okra can be used as a great flower stamp. Yes, a sliced Okra can become a great flower stramp! This vegetable creates a very nice stamp for cards, posters or any other thing that you want to add more detail to or decorate.
Materials needed:
Okra that is in good shape
Canvas paper/ paper plate/ any other surface you are wishing to put your paint on.
Acrylic paint (your choice(s) of color)
Paper
Scrap piece of paper
sppon
1. Using a knife, slice an Okra until the opening resembles the nicest flower figure you are able to get. (Optional) Take the seeds out of this part so the paint does not pick up the circular shapes of the seeds and mess up the stamp).
---You may want to let the okra dry out so the leaf doesn't impact the end result f your stamp.
2. Place a spoonfull of paint on the paper. Remember, you are always able to get more.
3. Holding the okra, place the end lightly in the small puddle of paint. If there is too much paint on the okra, dab some of th paint off onto a scrap piece of paper until you are satisfied with the amount of paint on the okra.
4. With the end with the paint on it facing down, press onto the surface of your desired paper/card/poster. Press firm enough so that you get the full flower shape, although avoid pressing too hard, as there will be bubbles of paint that form and will not look good.
Repeat steps 3-4 until you have your desired amount of stamps.
Easy, wasn't it?
