DIY: Mason Jar Prism Candle Light

This is a great DIY project that turns any mason jar into a unique light!

Materials Needed:

  • Mason jar

  • Round glass stones

  • e3600 glue (or any glue rated for affixing to glass)

  • Ribbon or twine

  • Tea light

  • Lighter

  • Brushes

Step 1:

Apply E3600 glue in small patches in a well-ventilated area with your brush. Apply glue to a small area on your jar, working from near right under the lid the downward.

Step 2:

Add the glass stones over the glue. Take your time planning out the design (if you want to place your stones in straight coloumns or scatter them around in a different pattern), as some glass stones may be bigger than others. Once that area is dry, move on to the next, slowly covering the body of the mason jar.

Step 3:

Once your glass has completely dried, remove the lid top and (optional) tie a ribbon of your choice or twine around the lip of the jar.

Step 4:

Insert tea light into candle and watch the light cascade around your room!

This is definitely the coolest DIY light I have seen, and it's done with simply a small mason jar!
